 I've recently upgraded to 5.1.4 and I went to  look at the permissions for a page.  To my dismay ALL of the check boxes are empty.  I verfied the permissions are still there in the database as only the right people can view/edit pages, but for some reason I don't see any values checked on the screen.  I tried to make it so admins can view/edit and I saw the check boxes, but as soon as I click update the check boxes get cleared.  The database seems to still have the settings, but i can't visually see it.

I read somewhere that it's supposed to be a green check or a red 'X' for granted/denied and I have verifed that the images exist in the proper folder on the server and they have the proper permissions.  Any ideas?

Is this for all pages/modules or just one in particular?

This is happening on all pages (well at least the 20 or so I checked) and all the modules I've checked on those pages (at least the 50+ I checked).

 Hrmmm check your web.config do you have the following in there anywhere?

<section name="permissions" requirePermission="false" type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke" />

That line is in there, up in the ConfigSections area at the top.

It also has a line referencing the permissions folder:

<permissions defaultProvider="CorePermissionProvider">
      <providers>
        <clear />
        <add name="CorePermissionProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Security.Permissions.CorePermissionProvider, DotNetNuke.Provider.CorePermissionProvider" providerPath="~\Providers\PermissionProviders\CorePermissionProvider\" />
      </providers>
</permissions>

I checked my bin folder and the dll for DotNetNuke.Provider.CorePermissionProvider.dll is 5.1.1.0
