I upgraded from DNN 4.9.4 to 5.1.4.  I have a couple different instances of DNN running for test servers and what not.  Here's the specs:

OS is Windows XP SP3, SqlServer 2005 Express Edition, IIS 5.1

Windows Server 2008 SP2, SqlServer 2005, IIS 7

in Windows 2008/Vista/Win7, you might face issues, if you place your web folder in an inappropriate place in file system with UAC on - you won't be able to unzip properly. Under all circumstances, make sure, files are unzipped hierarchically and ASP.Net account is given full access permission in file system.

Thanks Sebastian.  On my xp machine it's obviously not an issue, but I double checked on my 2008 boxes.  Asp.net does have full access to the dotnetnuke directory and I did a folder diff to verify all of the files did in fact get extracted.  All of the files from the .zip are in the directory but I still can't see any permissions on any of my installs.

Looking forward to the next step in getting this resolved.

Any ideas on what I can try next Chris?

Ken, did the OS info help at all?  Any ideas?  Do you need any more info from me?

Sebastian, any thoughts on what to look at next?

I know it seems like a little thing, but I can't see permissions on any pages or any modules in my site which is really starting to be a problem.  I would appreciate any ideas, thoughts, help any can provide.
