Hi,

Im a DNN newbie, and I'm exploring a way to use DNN to have a customer who sees information specifc to that particular customer.

Here's an example of what I'd like to implement.  A customer (e.g. Fred Flintstone) logs in.

  • A list of the machines that Fred bought from our company on that customer's specific page.
  • Also on that page would be a list of links to product information for those products.
  • There would also be links to forum posts by Fred.  In addition, there would be links to recent activity related to the machines Fred owns.

I don't know what DNN terminology pertains to these features, so I had a hard time knowing what search terms to use.

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

-Mark

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

In this scenario, customer info is stored in another SQL database (JD Edwards).   I'm not sure how to import / interface JD Edwards with the DNN database.  Are there tables in DNN where this kind of information would go?

Thank you,

-Mark

Hi,

Is there an example of how to use the report module to create a list of "my forum posts"?  i'm looking at the report module, and I'm at a loss how to proceed.

Thanks in advance,

Mark
