I'm creating a custo module that is talking to a wcf service (.svc). I'm registering the service programatically and attaching it to DNN ScriptManager object.  This is working fine.  However, when the script manager tries to create the javascript proxy for my service it errors out because the service address is appended with /jsdbug.

Ex. http://localhost/DNNInstall/DesktopMo....

This is standard. What I've figured out is that there is a security setting or some other configuration in DNN Installation app pool. The reason I think this is because I can get an example working very easily and quickly using the default iis app pool.  But, when i try it in DNN's iis app pool I have no luck. I get an http error: 400 - Bad Request.  Basically the "jsdebug" can't be rendered through the isapi module in conjunction with dnn apppool configuration.

Thanks --- Chris

Actually, I don't think the problem is with the apppool.  I think the dnn url routing is the issue.  I'm not sure how dnn processes urls but basically the url of the javascript proxy is this.

http://MyServer/DNNInstall/DesktopMod...

This is standard when using the asp:scriptmanager tag. Basically the scriptmanager makes a call to that address to get the javascript proxy. So what I need is for DNN to recognize that url.  Any ideas?

Well fixed the problem.  Basically to run wcf services you need to make sure IIS has all the mappings and other assets set up.  This is done by running:

ServiceModelReg.exe /i /x from %WINDIR%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation

Then restart IIS and your off to the races. This lets you call wcf services (.svc) from javascript in your custom built modules.  True AJAX calls...
