Setting permissions for the modules one-at-a-time could take quite a while. I found in the DNN SuperUserManual a technique that lets you assign lots of modules to your portal at one time.

1. Log in as host,
2. go to host>portals,
3. click the pencil for your portal, you are now in the portal settings,
4. expand Advanced Settings,
5. expand Host Settings
6. Move as many modules from the available modules box to the selected modules box as you want.

Warning - Using DNN 5.6.2 if you click the single arrow pointing left, it moves ALL the modules to the left. So does the douible left arrrow. There does not seem to be a way to move only one to the left.
