I am not new to DNN, but I am moving one of my DNN installs from my dedicated server to a shared server.

I have installed DNN 5.2* on a shared server with a domain name: www.affiliatetrackingtool.com/dotnetnuke

I login in as a super user and created a parent portal for azlocals.net

I change my DNS settings for azlocals.net to point to the shared server where my dotnetnuke installation is: 97.74.215.76

After propigation, going to azlocals.net causes my browser to point to my root dnn install :www.affilatetrackingtool.com/dotnetnuke

I want azlocals.net to resolve to the parent portal of my dnn install but this is not working.  What am I doing wrong?

Check your portal alias for azlocals.net.

Yeah... my alias is correctly set to azlocals.net.  I also added www.azlocals.net but that didn't help as well.

How is your DNS record configured, as an A record?  Any routing/translation going on before hitting the server?  Take a look at the IIS logs (if they're available to you).  URL rewriting may get in the way as well.  I'm assuming you're using just one web site in IIS, correct?

The domain name I want my portal to resolve to is "azlocals.net" and the A Record is set to the IP address of the Shared Server (97.74.215.76).  I don't think there are any problems with this.

The DNN installation is installed on affiliatetrackingtool.com/dotnetnuke.  In Go Daddy's Domain Management, I set up azlocals.net to point to \dotnetnuke which is the root of the DNN install.  Does this look correct so far?

I don't have access to the IIS logs on this shared server.
