Hi does anyone know how to change the required fields when registering as a new user?

I would like to force user to register with phone, street, city, postal code

I tried to enforce this under Admin-User accounts but there is no change to the user registration page.

A lot of googleing on the problem does not show anything - just that there might be extra modules to solve the problem - seems a bit strange to me

You can mark profile attributes as required, but you must also go to the Admin/Users page and click on the User Settings link, then on the settings page check the require valid profile for registration option.

Thank you for a very quick answer

Unfortunately I cannot find what you are refering to.

Under Admin -> User Accounts -> User settings   i find the following   "membership provider settings" - settings regardin password complexity

"pasword aging settings" -   and finally  "user accounts settings" - under which i find  settings like 'show last name column'  show name column  show authorized column.

They do not seem to handle the matter I am interested in and I also tried to put everyone of the in True mode. there is no change to the register page.

I still only get the following questions on the user registration page   ( I am using both DNN version 5.2 and 5.2.1

User name is required
First name is required
Last name is required
Display Name is required
Email is required

Enter a password.

  Membership Provider Settings

In this section you can review the membership provider's settings. Some providers may allow you to edit the settings. The default provider based on the ASP.NET MemberRole requires you to edit web.config, so the settings can not be updated here.

Could my problems have something to do with that the fields that I set as required  are fields in english  (telephone, address, region)

But I have removed english as a language on the site and set Swedish as a default language.

Do the fields have to be translated to be shown on the login page?

solution :   require a valid registration before registration should be set to true.

I did some changes I do not know what anymore  and after a while I turned the above on and then it started to work!
