Ok,

1.   I am on a godaddy server.. ( error 1)

2.  I needed to set up a ODBC connection to creat som forms and reports from the event module.
to do this I had to backup database, then delete the database re-create it with opion to allow outside connection, then restore database.

I then had to go into the default and reset the database information. the site now comes up fine all modules seem to be working except the log-in.

I get this error.   A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

It seems that I have to change manually something else. I have 2800+ members to this site for our training center any help ??????

However I have learnt this.

I registered as a new user and could log in fine, however I cannot log into admin nor admins nor as any other of the 2800 users. It seems that it cannot find the database link somewhere. My web-config i changed the database information, this got my site back. but as old users still get error, aswell as admin users. I cant even get to the module to reupload the users. as well as see the error log or make a new user with admin priv.
