I would like to move a DNN site on our web server from one drive to another.

Its currently on E:/ and would like to move everything to C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/ drive.

I thought it would be simply a matter of moving in IIS (v6) Properties >> Home Directory >> and then Browse for my new location?

However, I tried that and it doesn't like at all.
(I've stopped/started IIS, copied pasted all files over, restarted server, checked the permisssions etc)

Is there anything else which must be done?

thanks,
mark.

Is there a particular error you are getting?

did you make sure, IIS web site is pointing to the new directory and permissions for the ASP.Net user (Network service or as specified in Application pool)?

The error is just the default server errror / runtime error message
(we cant get more error info by trying the site locally even though <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly).

* IIS points to the new directory,
* permissions have been granted for both asp.net and network service,
* and the Application Pool (in Home Directory) is set to DefaultAppPool (only option available).

Not sure if it matters, but we have another website running (non-DNN site) with it's own web.config, but this is running from a virtual directory.

thanks,
mark

did you specify default.aspx as default document and ensure, that proper version of ASP.Net is installed?
