So I know that in the edition comparison page on this site, it shows the difference between community and professional editions.  I'm wondering about the permissions.  We're looking at DNN because of its CMS.  I have several users that I want to be able to modify text and such on pages.  For the community edition, it says that there is no granular permissions.  So, how does that work then?  If someone is an admin, can they do anything to any page or module?  Whereas with the professional i know you can set separate permissions for each module.  Or, is the difference that it's just not as extensive?  Basically I just want to know the permission differences between community and professional.  Thanks in advance!

Amanda,

I'm using CE 5.2.3 on a multi-portal install.  For the primary traffic site, I've got about 30 users who have edit permissions.  Three are admins, the rest have edit permissions only on specific pages - organized by groups.  For the non-admin page editors, I've given them edit permissions on the page, mostly out of laziness.  I could have, if I wanted to, given them permissions only to the modules on the page.

I think that the PE offering for "granular" permissions, is a fine-tuned approach to handling module permissions.  I'm not really an expert in that area, though.
