I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum for this question but I'll try. I'm developing a site using DNN 5.3.1 and Catalook 6.0.8 and everytime there is an ajax postback on the product details page (module name is CAT_ItemPaneNF) and the shopping cart page (CAT_Cart), my main menu completely freezes. I have to do a hard refresh of the page to reactivate the menu. Everything else on the page is fine, it's only the menu.  This is the case regardless of browser and I've tested it using the Flex2 skin from DrNuke, the Adaptive skin from Engage Software and the default DNN minimalExtropy skin.

Catalook support says it's an issue with the DNN Nav menu.  Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

Thanks,
Vinny

Sounds like the javascript bits which wire up the menu eventing is included in that ajax postback.  Can you move the javascript out or disable the ajax behaviour?

Vincent, do you experience the same behaviour with DNN default Skin? if yes, you may ask CataLook to fix it otherwise you may (ask your skin vendor to) modify the skin to use the same menu.

I would do a FULL browser cache clearout first, not just CTRL-F5 (but you may have already done it from what you have written).

Thanks for all your replies.

Alex, I have done a full browser cache clearout but it didn't solve the problem.
Sebastian, yes the same behaviour exists with the DNN default skin.
Rob, That sounds like what could be happening but I don't want to modify any source because it will complicate upgrading the module going forward.

I've been going back and forth with CATALooK and the last response I received was that it boils down to a bug with the DNN Nav menu. I've downloaded a couple of skins from the skinning contest that aren't using the DNN nav menu and will apply one of those to the product detail page and see what happens.

Thanks all.
