We are having a major issue with Events module ver. 3.2 on DNN 4.9.  When logged on as an Admin, the date of an event (list mode) displays a day later than what regular users see e.g. A calendar entry of 5/20 is shown with 5/21 and even worse when you click on the link to display the details, the date shows another day later (shown as 5/22).  But, when you edit the entry, the correct date (5/20) shows.  I searched your forums but didn't find any related issue.  Reviewing our site settings, it does have (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana accordingly.

Please advise.  Thanks.

Hi,

My advice would be to upgrade to the latest release of the Events module (5.0.3). Version 3.2 is over three years old (nearly four), and we have fixed hundreds of bugs since then. I'm pretty sure the bug you mentioned was fixed in 2008 when the new team was formed. We have also added many new features, so an upgrade should be worth you while. If you have any further problems with the module, please post in the dedicated Events forum - I only spotted this post in passing.

However,until DNN properly supports DST you will never get 100% accurate times. Unfortunately this is particularly true in the summer months when DST is in effect. This is because whilst DNN supports 24 timezones in 1 hour increments (may 25 or 26, but you get the idea), in actual fact to accurately support DST you need about 50-60 different options, because not everyone in a TimeZone actually applies DST in the same way (e.g. not all US states use DST).
