Hi,
I've made several unsuccessful attempts to upgrade my install to the newest version of DNN, which we have now concluded is the result of a corruption in the db.

So, I am now attempting to export my portals via template in 4.9.5 and then import them into 5.4.2. I was able to do this successfully with one portal that only included text/html modules. However, my other portals include a variety of module and give a unique constraint violation error.

My question is - how do I determine which modules are causing the error?

Thanks,
Pat

I would login as host user and check the EventViewer for related errors. In particular look at the stack trace in the error message to determine which business controller class is being created or fails to be created  when doing the particular module's import.

Note also that many modules (including several core modules) do not implement the IPortable interface and cannot participate in import/export. Some modules which do implement IPortable for content do not import/export their settings as well.
