I'm using some variants of menus that produce unordered lists of page names.  I'm using that for mega type menus and some "fat footers."

I'm also using Xepient's OpenSearch.

The net effect is that every page name (and a link to it) appears on every page.  And ... these all get indexed by the search.  So, when I do a search on the site, I'm getting TONS of references to page names.  This is NOT something that I want.

I'm looking for ideas on dealing with this.  Any suggestions?

By the way, there is an Xepient blog that suggests HTML encoding the first character of the page name.  While that works for the site search, it may have some other problems, and leads to some occasional errors.

Perhaps a note to those integrating Xepient OpenSearch into the Pro version of DotNetNuke (which I am also using):  perhaps some way of specifying items to be excluded from the search might be useful.  I would also like to exclude some modules from the search, too!  I have some internal navigation type modules that appear on most or all pages. I don't need those links to be indexed on every page.

Ideas are welcome ...
