I want to change my site, so that users are directed to a different page when they log in depending on their security role. IE: User A has role 'Subcriber' so I him to go straight to his profile when he logs in.

User B is just a registered user, so I want him to be directed to a 'Subscribe now' page when he logs in.

Is there a way to do this, or can you only have one 'redirect after log in' page?

You'll need a 3rd party extension (module) for that. Take a look at Dynamic Login by Datasprings.

My understanding of that module is that the user roles are not taken from the DNN database, but that you have to create new roles and apply them to the users... that means applying new roles seperately to 15,000 users.

as far as I understand, it uses existing roles and assigns a tab for redirection to it.
