I'm replacing a core third party module with a newer or more elegant solution and I would like to know if I should delete the older modules separately by going to each page within my site once the conversion is done or can I simply remove the old module using Host/Extensions function in DNN.

Thanks,

Will

I am assuming that you do not need to preserve or migrate data contained in the old module.

I would simply delete (with Uninstall Files checked) the old module using Host-->Extensions as this will bypass the Recycle Bin and, provided the old module developer properly construced the module's Uninstall.SqlDataProvider script, remove all traces of the module from the database.

Thanks, Bill! No, don't need to preserve the data, since I'm migrating over to the new. So, I will do the latter as you suggested. Hopefully, the mod developer coded the cleanup correctly! Cheers, Will
