I'm trying to add a friendly URL in the admin section but it's not working. The goal is that we would have one archive page which would take the month and year as querystring parameters. Then have the Friendly URL function have the year and month be subfolders in the URL.

For example localhost/archives/2010/august.aspx would be sent to localhost/archive.aspx?qs=2010/august where a module will take the qs value, parse it, and use it to get all the news stories from August 2010.

Now the tabid for the archives page is 80 so I know we have to redirect it to the default page. What I put into the Friendly URL list is:

Match: .*/Archives/(.*).aspx
Replace with: ~/Default.aspx?tabid=80&qs=$1

I tried entering it into a regular expression tester http://www.regular-expressions.info/j... and it works there. So I'm not sure why it's not working nor how to fix it.

Thank you!!

PS the IIS requires that all .NET pages end in aspx or else it goes to html. I know how to change it but our hosting company doesn't allow it.
