I've been playing with the Profound skin  - http://skins.dotnetnuke.com/whunukeprofoundbusiness - and a few days back now I got the bannerpane working as a slideshow of some 'dummy' images.

Now I can't recall how I did it - and I've searched high and low!!! - it's driving me nuts!!!

*Somehow* the DNN included rotator widget is getting parsed the elements I've put in - but I can't find 'em anymore!!! :)

It's gotta be something simple that I'm overlooking - but after 3 or 4 days of looking at it - I'm giving up for now. :)

Hoping someone can help.  Cheers,   Duncan.

perhaps the wiki page on widgets has something that will help - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/tabid/1409/Page/Widget/Default.aspx

Hi Cathal - had a quick squizz at that page and various links off 'em - and can't see anything immediately obvious :( But what an excellent widget resource - thank you very much - it will be *most* helpful. Cheers, Duncan.

FYI the rotator widget is detailed in one of the links off the wiki - http://www.kalyani.com/2009/12/dotnetnuke-widgets-guide-part-2-of-4/

Hi, I had a better look at that - and um.. I now think that's not the widget getting called. Maybe it's this one?... \Resources\ContentRotator\scripts\contentrotator.js But anyway, if you look at say the skin's sample page at: http://skins.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?alias=skins.dotnetnuke.com/whunukeprofoundbusiness and right-click and 'view source' - you find the embedded javascript... var links = new Array(); links[1] = " /whunukeprofoundbusiness/Home.aspx"; links[2] = " /whunukeprofoundbusiness/AboutUs.aspx"; links[3] = " /whunukeprofoundbusiness/Products.aspx"; links[4] = " /whunukeprofoundbusiness/Services.aspx"; links[5] = " /whunukeprofoundbusiness/ContactUs.aspx"; var imgs = new Array(); for(var n = 1; n <= 5; n++) imgs[n] = new Image(); imgs[1].src = " /Portals/29/img/home-banner.jpg"; imgs[2].src = " /Portals/29/img/About-us.jpg"; imgs[3].src = " /Portals/29/img/Products.jpg"; imgs[4].src = "/Portals/29/img/Service.jpg"; imgs[5].src = "/Portals/29/img/Contact-Us.jpg"; etc. And on my page, I can find the same - only it has my guff in it - and for the life of me, I can't figure out how I managed it.! :) To be honest, I think I'm now barking up the wrong tree entirely. I just can't see anymore, how I did what I did, and how the javascript is generated. (It's quite a nice content-rotator too - a nice smooth transition, and it pauses when you hover over it, and any part if it is clickable (the link changes per image). So I've managed - somehow - I can't remember now - to edit *something* that let me put in the images URLs and the links that are called. Cheers, Duncan.
