Hi all,

I have 2 queries, I want to add the following functionality in my website.

News and news archives (yearly archives). each news can contain text only or text and pictures.  News page will display the news from newest to oldest  5 by 5 with preview that can be subsequently opened into a detailed page of that news.
People can subscribe to the site and comment the news, like in a forum. In the subscription we will ask some marketing questions.

I can achieve this in XMod but the problem is with the line in Red, please if anyone know any module by which I can achieve this.

Other Functionality:

polls page, with current polls and past polls. there must be a facility for polls  creation . To vote in a poll one must register with email and password (quick registration).

Please let me know any module for this also.

Thanks and Regards
Nitin

for your news check out NewsArticles by www.ventrian.com and Nuntio Articles by www.dnnWerk.de. ATM I have no suggestion for the polls.

The only module I can think of with polls is actually a forum...

http://dnnyafnet.codeplex.com/

But from what you tell you don't want a forum but a news module with some "forum features".

I can be sure but I think that with some customization to the YAF themes you could make it look more like a news module...

And in this case with would be a forum with all the features you want but with a news like look....

Crazy idea... but I think it is possible!

Check http://wiki.yetanotherforum.net/ for more details!

Hope this helps
