Hi,

I am a newbie to DNN and I am trying to make the DNN community edition portal to be part of a load balanced environment.

I went through the documentation dated June 2006. The document specifies changes to the following attributes of Web.config file:

configuration/appSettings/EnableWebFarmSupport -- "the default value is false"
configuration/appSettings/MachineValidationKey
configuration/appSettings/MachineDecryptionKey

however, in the web.config I do not see any of the above 3 elements? Do I have to add them to the web.config like
<add key="EnableWebFarmSupport" value="true" />
???

Please help.

And my caching element looks like this:

<add name="FileBasedCachingProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Cache.FileBasedCachingProvider.FBCachingProvider, DotNetNuke.Caching.FileBasedCachingProvider" providerPath="~\Providers\CachingProviders\FileBasedCachingProvider\"/>
</providers>
</caching>

I dont see the BroadcastPollingCachingProvider??(I am using DNN 5.0, source code downloaded from Codeplex)

I would appreciate any help.

Hi

I met nearly the same problem
I have in my web.config (turned to true for working on web farm

but concerning the caching section,
i've exactly the same problem

and i don't find any free solution ...

Can anybody of the Dnn team could help us ?
