Hi all

I need to rebuild my web server, as my sites just keep comming up under construction all the time.   I ran a dcpromo on my server to try sdomething out, when it didn't wotk, i removed AD and it's screwed up all the permissions etc etc, (if I see Bill walking along the street, i would kicked him into the next century).

So, is there anyway of saving the pages that I already created, as I don't want to have to re-create them again.

Check the default page in your website in IIS. You may need to move to the top default.aspx

Thx Craig, I wish it was as simple as that, because I downgraded the server, back to a normal stand alone server, it resets all the security permissions within the SAM, so when you try and access the SQL server, it thinks that there is no security assoicated with it, and you cannot login, to SQL and hence no access to any databases. So, the site is fooled into thinking there is no backend database, so it won't display.

I could spend hours trying to reset the security and permissions, but it will be quicker to rebuild the server, I have taken a copy of the site and if there is no way of accessing the pages I had configured then so be it. One day Bill one day....
