error BC30560: 'LinkController' is ambiguous in the namespace 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Links'

DNN 5.6.3 upgrade completed on 6 July. Sometime after I upgraded to Links 6.0.0 and as far as I recall it was fine.  Yesterday found links module woudl serve users, but admins couldn't add or edit any.  Tried to replace Links 6.0.0. with next oldest one ( that it used to be 3 weeks ago) and then reinstall 6.0.0 which just managed ot delete al Links modules on the site. I had the hosting provider restore from a 15 hour old backup and then installed Lnks 6.0.2 which I ofnd in the interim (it wasn't really easy to get to due to a broken link.  Now I have the modules "bacl" but each is filled with error code runon sentences only a serious .NET coder coudl love.  Googling the above I found a Forum post here by Sebastian re a different module with a similar namespace challenge. Before I go trying to recreate a couple dozen Lnks module s on several pages from scratch, is there an "easy" fix to this?  ike deleting something from the /bin file as was suggested on the other Forum post?
Please?

which links module are you using? are you having links.dll in your bin folder and which version?

I ended up assuming that the dll file was either out of date or corrupted, due to the date/time it listed in File Manager at the hosting provider's server using my web control panel. I did a repair install of Links 6.0.2 and everything works fine now.  One of the fixes the Links 6.0.2 module lists is a "namespace" issue and I read "namespace" and ambiguous as part of the error message. I appreciate the reply.

Hello,

Looking into the Links_06_02_02_Install install zip file and precisely into the dnn_Links.dnn file I see that there is no .dll uploaded.

So if you upgrade from an older version like me (Links_04.00.01), the new install package doesn't clean the unnecessary files.

Removing manually the bin/DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.dll and bin/DotNetNuke.Modules.Links.SqlDataProvider.dll solves the issue.
