I'm currently using the Links module on DNN6 to show users in certain roles links they have access to. These roles are set to expire after a certain time period but the user is still able to view the link after expiration.

My question is, is there a way to remove a user from a role automatically after it expires? Currently a user is still associated with the role past expiration and I'm pretty sure this is what's causing my issue.

I was thinking looking toward the scheduler would be a step in the right direction but I have no idea how I would set it up to do what I want.

Any help/insight is appreciated!

Thanks!

I am not aware of an automated routine to remove users from a role, but you should be able to achieve this by performing a simple SQL query (e.g. "DELETE FROM UserRoles WHERE EndDate < getDate()" ), followed by a restart of the application.
