I am a previous Active Module customer who has bought Active Social. Since the introduction of DNN620 admins have been able to create social DNN sites using the core Framework. However, I can't do that because I am still running Active Social.

A while ago it was mentioned, at the Active Modules site, that a migration tool would be released to help Active Social users to migrate to DNN620.

I would like to know when the migration tool will be made available to Active Social customers?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Marc

We are still working through the migration steps for moving content from Active Social to DotNetNuke 6.2. Our focus has been on Groups and Journal content. We also need to migrate user files. Unfortunately there were still a lot of moving parts up until the actual release of 6.2 which made it difficult to have a migration tool immediately available. Right now we are planning to have the migration tool available shortly after DotNetNuke 6.2.1. DNN 6.2.1 is scheduled to be released later next week.

@Will Thx for the update!

I am re-building my site from scratch. It will be interesting to see what the migration tool and 6.2.1 will bring.

Also, did we lose the Twitter function on journal posts?

What exactly will the migration tool include?

 My biggest concern is forum content and private messages as they are both heavily used on our site.
