Portal Root conlicts with DNN Logo  & Admin Site Settings Page Managent section.  (DNN6.2.2 and DNN6.2.3)

IIS Responds correctly to queries for portal Root  http:// mydomain.com  and the adress bar shows the correct URL.

The DNN Logo destination URL is mapped to the value defined in Admin Site Settings Page Management section and not the Domain Root. Example:

WHEN IT IS MAPPED  Portal Root = http:// mydomain.com / MappedSetting   and not portal root  "/"

Setting the Home Page to "not defined" causes the site to break.... will not open the Portal Domain root (http:// mydomain.com/ )  and returns page not found! 

This means that the normal method of using the Logo to point to the domain standard default root is not possible. It either maps to a hard coded page assigment or it breaks the site!

How is it possible in DNN to set the Logo and the home page definition to be equal to the true IIS domain root  "/"  !

This is driving me crazy :-(

It appears that a workaround to this involves the following code stump inside of logo.aspx.cs

if (PortalSettings.HomeTabId != -1)
{
hypLogo.NavigateUrl = Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.HomeTabId);
}

replacing the above code with the code below seems to fix it
hypLogo.NavigateUrl = "http://" + PortalSettings.PortalName;

That makes me think that the test condition for HomeTabId is not changing, but always -1

Can anyone maybe help me clarify this theory ????
