Hi-

Relatively new to DotNetNuke and I like this product. I'm having an issue with using the Member Directory, however. Specifically, the filtering of the results based on Group criteria doesn't work as expected while logged in as a user with access to the Member Directory. I have read that to enable filtering in the Member Directory module (using a Security Role) you must set the Security Mode for the Security Role to use SocialGroup or Both. I have tried both with no success.

I have 2 Security Roles (riders and mechanics) set up in DotNetNuke (just downloaded the latest Professional version today) with several members in each role. The riders don't have read access to the Member Directory, and the mechanics do have read access. I am attempting to filter the Member Directory by riders, so that the mechanics only see the riders in the directory. I get the desired results logged in to the website as Admin. That is, only the riders appear in the directory. If I log in to the website as a mechanic, I see no results and get the generic "No members were found that satisfy the search conditions." Since I get the desired results logged in as Admin I assume my filtering is set up correctly. Since the mechanics can access the Member Directory [page], I'm assuming security is set up correctly as well.

To the best of my ability, I have confirmed that the mechanics have appropriate permissions to [only] view the Member Directory (they cannot edit anything). I've watched the 2 Member Directory videos on the DotNetNuke website a couple of times, and because I've been able to replicate the issue in 2 separate servers/DotNetNuke installations and I'm wondering if I missed something along the way. Have I missed something?

Has anyone seen this before? Is there another way to accomplish the above?

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Matt
