I have a weird problem with DNN 6.0.2.

I needed to export the Home page on our production server to a dev server. I had an old Home page on the dev server and wanted to delete that first. I couldn't do that because it was flagged as the Home page. So, I temporarily marked the "About Us" page as the home page, deleted the old home page and then imported the template. Sure enough, the import worked and I was looking at the imported page.

I then flagged the newly imported page as the Home page and it shows up as such in the Pages list (shows up with the little House symbol).

I tought I was done but since I updated it to be he home page I can only navigate to the About Us page! If I manually enter the URL (http://www.<name>.com, I end up at the About Us page (not the new home page). Still more concerning is that if I navigate to the Home page from Pages, select the Home page and select View Page - I STILL end up at the About Us page.

In short, there's no way to get to the new Home page (even though I saw it just fine immediately after I imported it - then never again).

Completely confused and this is a showstopper for me. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Mark

Hey Mark,

I have a similar issue in DNN 6.01.04 after making a temporary page a the homepage I can now no longer reach my old homepage and end up in a redirect loop, I can however set the old page (that I now can't reach) back as the homepage then the issue goes away - but that does not help me work on the page while it is not the homepage!

I'd be interested if anybody know of a solution to these bugs... Are you using any non standard DNN url re-writeing such as iFinity?

Thanks

Jacques.

I am indeed using IFinity, although I had not configured anything specific to the two pages in question.

But here's an interesting thing - I go in this morning and, hey presto, all seems OK now. That is very strange because I spent maybe 30 mins troubleshooting this last night without any luck INCLUDING restarting the app. So, it seems there's some sort of caching/latency issue here, which creates a major problem in terms of making simple changes like this.

Short term I seem to be OK (can now get to the correct home page) but it's obviously disconcerting not knowing what caused this.

Thanks.

Mark
