I just installed a fresh dotnetnuke site and went thru the installation, everything worked as expected. The first thing i wanted to do is to turn off the demo pages (tabs). So i selected the GettingStarted and made it invisible in the page settings. After logging out i wanted to browse to my site but it gives error 310 TOO MANY REDIRECTS

When i browse directly to the /Home.aspx then i'm able to see the site again.

The only problem left is that i cannot log in as superuser, when i try i see the login popup with the same error 310

I looked at differend tables, but i'm not sure what will fix this.

If the home page works, append ?ctl=login to it, this should at least get you logged in.

Thanks, at least i'm back in without being forced to reinstall :)

Now i'm just wondering if it would had been possible in another way by executing an update statement. How to mark another table as Home page?

PS: This is a bug, isn't it? Disabling the home page shouldn't be possible without marking another page as home page.

this might be a known bug, have a look at support.dotnetnuke.com, whether it has been logged.

Raymond, the HomeTabID is stored in the PortalLocalization table.

Take a look at the stored procedure [UpdatePortalInfo] to see how it works.
