I'm hoping someone may know of a solution to this problem.  I have a dnn6x site that has been up for several months.  I has only two accounts, host and admin. I am trying to login and although I do NOT get a login error none of my controls or administrative menus show up (as thought I am not logged in). When I try to login using an incorrect password I get the expected login error. I am certian, positive the passwords are correct.  I have tried several different computers, browsers and even devices but all have the same result.  The site is redirecting me from the login page to the previous page of the site so something is working but none of the controls (i.e. view/edit/layout or admin and host menus) appear nor does the logoff tab.

Otherwise all data on the site is okay and all pages work.

The login screen is not the AJAX login by the way.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appricated???

Chris,

Does the site url in the browser bar loose or gain the www sub-domain or change to a different portal alias (particularly a temporary url) immediately after logging in? I had one site that was created using a temporary domain then switched to its permanent domain doing much the same until I removed its no-longer needed temporary domain as one of its portal aliases. Another site had been incorrectly set up in its hosting provider's dns such that www.sitedomain.com was not properly resolving to sitedomain.com. Each time the url switched, the currently logged in user would be logged out.

Thanks for the response William.

When I go to the site the address bar reads:
http://www.domain.net

When I click the login tab the address changes to:
http://www.domain.net/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f

After I login the address reverts back to the original address:
http://www.domain.net
