Hi,

I have a client site I am upgrading from 4 to 6-7. It is over one hundred pages. The issue is that the menu system they were using was 'backwards' in that it displayed the page name, not the title in the menu.

Is there a tool that lines up all the pages in a table where I could quickly change the names? I mean rather than using Admin->Page Management. The DNNwerks one on Codeplex will not install on this 6.2 site - not sure if that could do it anyway.

thanks,

Will Sugg, Planet Maine, USA

I don't know of one, but be careful in renaming pages. If you change the NAME of a page, you will create a bunch of 404s as the old page URLs (based on the name) will no longer work.

Hi Chris,

If you renamed them through Admin->Page Management wouldn't that not matter for the link you had to them in another place on the site as it would still go to the right page because the tabid had not changed?

thanks,

Will

With DNN TABIDs are for the most part no longer used in URLs, any site using FriendlyURLs would have broken links if you change page names.

To be clear - if we did not use friendly URLs on the site then the renamed pages would still be linked to (I mean where they are referenced elsewhere in the site)?

I appreciate your help,

Will
