Hi
I use DNN5.
i am having a strange issue. I cannot create a clean article page.

If i create a new blank article page (no skin, no template), the new page looks a mess. Every page module is added 3 times (3 logos, 3 footers etc.). The issue started around the time i enabled multilingual content.
The multilingual stuff did not work out for the time being, so i disabled it.

Things i have tried:
1) new page with blank default DNN template
2) new page with a clean template (ie: exported frontpage of an alias portal)
3) new page with a different template (ie: a exported subpage of an alias portal).

All these options create an messy page with multiple logos and footers.

I can work around it by importing and replace the entire page a previosly exported template. But it takes really long.

Possible solutions i can think of:
- If there was a way to create a blank page, all problems would be solved
- restoring the template. HOW?
- creating new portal (would mean not understanding the issue at all)

thanks for reading.

Can you elaborate on what you mean when you say "Article Page". That's not typically a term used with respect to DNN - wondering if you are having issues with DNN or with some Articles module.

What I mean is when logged in, i click "New" (from top left DNN toolbar) and create a new page. I write a Title, Description, select my skin or template. So it is a page, not an Article --- My mistake.

When i create a new page, leave skin at blank / default, the new page comes really messy, with duplicate modules/containers.

When i create a new page, select a skin, the new page comes messy. It contains all the modules in that skin plus some additional ones. This left me thinking there is something else wrong with my files besides the default template.

I deleted my portal and started a new one and now the template is clean. It just i dont know why the additional modules were coming along or how to restore the default template.

there are known issues with multilingual web sites in DNN 5, especially duplication of modules. you need to find a way to remove all language keys from records in tab table and remove all tabs and tabmodules in other language than portal default. This is intended to be fixed in DNN 7.1

That´s very good news, Sebastian.
Looking forward to DNN 7.1.
