I have done a fresh install of DNN 7.1.2

The new feature of DNN 7.1 "Page cannot be found (404 Error Page)" is not working. 

I have ensured that the 

1) Friendly Url Provider mode is set to 'advanced'

2) There is a 404 Error page in site ( http://bhattji.com/404-Error-Page )

Yet, when you try  http://bhattji.com/test.aspx, it gives error

Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. 

Requested URL: /test.aspx

 

Any Idea, how to set the 404 page, and remove the above error?

I assume it is a modification/setting in the web.config?

I also tried everything (IIS settings, web.config, language settings, url rewrite settings, jquery) but no luck.

Yes, Hopefully one of the core members can help us... for now just wait and add an issue in the DNNTracker ....
