When I edit a user I sometimes get a popup with the error: The connection was reset

There's no error in the eventlog and when I use different browser or restart the application pool the error is gone.

Checked the connection of the server but this looks oke. Please help?

does it take a long time, that exception is generally thrown when a page times out before the database can return the relevant information (or when a page times out before a file upload can complete). Both can be resolved usually by editing the web.config and increasing executionTimeout -however it's a pretty generous setting already, so that might not be it. I've also seen the same thing when network connectivity between 2 machines such as a webserver and database server is not reliable, however that would show that exception randomly and not always on the same function. It may be an idea to run a httpproxy such as fiddler when you're editing users as then you can see any unexpected http exceptions that occur and capture the detail

There are a number of strange issues with client side modules in DNN 7, I encountered myself.
When it comes to performance, I created a SQL script for DNN 7.1.1 and 7.1.2. This script provides improved performance for a number of stored procedures, views and functions, it also optimizes some data structures. This is a pre-release version, which has been tested on a couple of sites and created with maximum care, but still might contain issues. Like with any DNN upgrade, please backup database of your site first. Please report any issues either here or to leupold at dnnwerk.de.
Thank you for contributing by testing the script (which is planned to be submitted for incorporation with future versions of DNN).
You may download the script at http://dnn-europe.net/portals/0/files...
