Hi every one!

 I 'm use DNN 6.2.1, when i click on button Update in Hostsettings form an error occur(i show it in JS console):

Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled.

please check admin->event viewer to see the "real" issue (the exception you see if simply ajax saying a server request had an unexpected exception)

that exception occurs when you have a site that has requestValidationMode="4.0" set on the httpRuntime node in web.config. This is incorrect, as it needs to be requestValidationMode="2.0" -if you change it that will likely fix your error. Note: during install/upgrade we detect .net 4.0 and adjust this value as needed, I recommend you check and make sure that web.config is not read-only (and that the user your application pool is running under has read/write/modify permissions) as it may be that this value could not be updated by DNN due to insufficient permissions
