Hi,

I am trying to share an application Android package that I am develloping and I can't download it when I click on the file in Social Groups or File Management.

I change the allow extensions in Host Settings to add the APK extension. I also add the EXE extension for test purpose.

When I click on the APK file, I am getting a 404 error file not found. When I click on the EXE file, it download the file correctly.

Is there any other settings that I am not aware to allow APK file to be downloaded from my DNN 7.2 site?

Thanks

Stephan

I would start by looking at the settings on your webserver itself - pretty sure that .apk is not a default approved file extension type in most IIS setups.   You would likely need to add it in as a file type on the server firstly.

Also in the dnn host settings you would need to include it as an approved extension.

Westa
