Hi - I was wondering, since nearly anything is possible with DNN, is there a custom token somewhere that will show the name of a person at all times.

EG... I would like to show the name of a person all the time, not the users name, but use a token that I can put in throughout the site once and then it will always be there if they change their name.

The person would be in their own role, only them, so I was wondering if it was possible.

My goal is to eliminate mistakes.

Does this make sense? I wanted to display their first name, last name & product name and have it automatically displayed throughout the site for all users.

Thanks in advance.. :-)

Nina

If I understand your requirement correctly, you can use [User:Displayname] (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/...) -the easiest way to do so would probably be to add it to a html module and have that set to display on all pages (ensure caching is disabled so it regenerates on each page request and doesn't cache)

Thanks Cathal, this is not quite what I meant.

What I really want to have for example if it were my site - it would always say - [Nina Meiers] ... does this and that and her amazing [thingamebob] does this as well.

It's for a single owner portal who wants to display their information in several places throughout the site and instead of having to change in several places, using the tokens but in a generic manner with a their name visible to public.

I did see the wiki page thanks - but I was unable to see the exact solution.
