Hi,

I need some advice:  does DNN support any kind of hierarchical security so that users can be grouped, have specific permissions separate to other permissions and individual users?

Can I then apply these permissions across a range of pages or do have to go into specific pages and the related modules (this would be a time consuming and tedious job on a large well built DNN site)?

Thanks in advance.

Tahir

Tahir,
you may create Security Roles as you like, add and remove users and grant permission on pages, modules and Folders to each of the roles or individual users.
There is an Option to copy permission from top Level to all child pages and modules

Sebastian,

Where is this option? Is it available in CE?

----

NVM. The page must have child pages and iot only copies permission to Pages, not Modules.

Mike, there is a command in control panel (using DNN RibbonBar or Advanced Control Panel from www.oliverhine.com)
