Hi All,

I am running DNN 7.3.2. When I try to update a password as Host or Admin, I get the following message:

"There was an error setting the password. The password has not been changed."

I was getting the same error on DNN 7.2.2 (hence the upgrade). I am not getting an error message in the event viewer so I have no additional information.

I see that this was a problem on earlier versions? Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Lisa,

It seems that the issue is related to password history tracking. I was able to fix the problem by disabling this feature.

Host > Host Settings > Advanced Settings > Membership Management

Then deselect "Enable password history".

Let me know if this works for you.
