Hi all

When e make a client website, we make it on Temporary sub-domain of our domain. after finish it we change old website domain to new portal. we change alias and Host Email and host SMTP server setting.

In following example we change ecb.ir to greenwood.ae and we change info@ecb.ir to info@greenwood.ae but look at following error:

But Email not send because this Event Log exception error:

Armin,

this is not a DNN issue, but a problem with the mail server configuration - it seems that it does not allow this sender address, most propably for spam fighting reasons.

You should either change the host's email address (in the host settings and in the host user's profile!) or set up some relay for the sending (web)server in the SMTP server.

I found this problem.

When We change Domain name and all admin/hist settings for new domain name, It's not enough  for sending email to clients when they register on our website.

You have to change SuperUser Account (host) User same as host email. if you forget to change host account email address, the email never send to clients....

You're right, either email of host user and email of host setting should be same. this was problem. :)

it is not the superuser's email address, but the email of the administrator, specified in Admin > SiteSettings (edit email in Admin > User Accounts)
