When I try to access the Event Viewer I am receiving the following error:

Error: Log Viewer is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. --->

This error is NOT caused by too many rows in the table as I have cleared it and it has exactly 0 rows.  I have had some modules throw errors and they are not getting logged so it seems like there is a communication issue with errors but why would it only affect this.  Since this is where errors get reported I am not even sure how to troubleshoot this.  DNN version 07.02.02 (303)

there might be a Performance issue with your database, did you check size of the database and Transaction log file?
Make sure to use Simple Recovery for your database (see database properties)
