Hi,

I have changed the time-zone in the host account, host settings and also in the admin settings to my local time zone. Unfortunatly the time zone is wrong iin the site and I am having the server time zone (I think) in the site modules. I am using Active forums and Ventrian ShoutBox module. Both have the server time and I need my local time to be there. Please can you help me how to change this for my site? This is an important point as we are using a community site and a forum. The timing is a most important thing.

Thank You!

At least ShoutBox is a very old module, not aware of the new preferred timezone settings. it might help to set Portal Default timezone to Server timezone, this should Display correct time at least for users, who configured correct timezone in their user Profile.

Bu this is same for Active Forums too. It is still an active module. If you can advise me if there's anything that I can change inthe DNN core, can try for that as this is really important in my website.

it is not a bug in the core. When we upgraded from proprietary time zones to Windows time zones in DNN 6.0, misnamed methods had been marked as deprecated - removing them would break all modules using it. If we changed the behaviour, modules that understand the misnamed methods correctly would break, if we changed how it words.
The only Option would be fixing the modules, sorry.

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you very much for the reply.

I am using DNN 7.3.4 and I have not upgraded this yet as it is the latest version where we started. The time is same in all modules and also in the event log too. Even I change the portal settings to another time zone, this is same always.

It is same in all modules even in the view history of the HTML modules.

Have I missed anything? I changed the portal settings time zone and checked all users time zone including me and host. All are well set for my +05.30 GMT. But the site is giving a wrong time zone. Seems it is Canada/America time zone.

For ex: When my time is 1.30 A.M. it is 12.00 PM in the site.

What are the things should I change? and where can i check this?

Thank You!
