I recently upgraded from an early version of 7 to the latest version of 8.  After upgrading I can no longer sign in and I receive the following address:

"You cannot login to the site from this IP address."

I have never had login restrictions, and there is no console access as this runs on a web services platform.  I do have access to the root via ftp, so I'm hoping that I can resolve this by editing files since I can't login to the UI.

Thanks.

I'm not sure, but I did figure out a workaround.  I went into the SQL database and edited the IP Restrictions table to allow myself into the GUI.

I am glad you found this workaround. There is still the question, whether the restriction didn't get applied properly.
