Hi All,

I am impressed with Dot Net Nuke. I am wondering where I can find the module for Forums, just like this module?

I am using Dot Net Nuke 4.0.3 and the closest one that I can find is 'Discussions' module. However, this module does not have a set up where I can organize as folders for each subject like this 'Forum'. Any suggestions?

Any feedbacks are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Frank

Look at the upper right corner of this site. See the Gear looking button called "Projects" ? Then find the "forum" project.  Click on module download.

Thank you all for the replied!

By the way, how do I install it? When I downloaded, I got asp.net, dll and sqldataprovider in the package. I am not clear how to add the Forum package into my DotNetNuke web.

Greatly appreciated for any feedbacks,

Frank

1. Back up your database and files. The module might screw something else. Especially if you are new to DNN, you might not be able to reverse the change.

2. Have "extracted module files" & "Ziped module files"(the original file you downloaded).  Host-> module Definition Validator(the botton of the page) -> select .dnn file in the extracted files. Validated? congrat!

3. Now, Click on "Upload New module" and select the the ziped module file. Click on "add"

4. Cross your fingers

5. Cross your legs if you can

6. Click on "upload"

7. Close your eyes. Wait 10secs

8. Now open your eyes

9. Do you see the module installed in DNN system? if not, you are screwed. delete module and try again. otherwise congrat.
