what do you mean by "WAS"? before or after the update?

I'm sorry. Poor word choice.

I AM able to edit content in a User Defined Table module.

so you are getting the add row and module settings links? This is interesting, but might be due to the fact, that UDT is currently the ssingle core module, that use extended permissions via permission grid. Can you please check the permissions table, there should be at least six entries, two each with permissioncode SYSTEM_MODULE_DEFINITION, SYSTEM_TAB and SYSTEM_FOLDER, one of them with permissionkey VIEW and one with key EDIT.
