This is a fresh install of 4.3.3 not an upgrade. Everything was running smoothly until realised my content editor roles no longer function.

Like this: Create a role "Content Editor", pick any module on a page, set the edit rights for it to Content Editor. Create a user and assign to him the Content Editor role.

Log in as that user and try and edit the module... Where previously I could always edit from this role, now I no longer can. Has something changed here in 4.3.3?

This is strange however: A site imported from 4.0.3 via template and content does allow the Content Editor to edit the old modules and their content. But any new modules cannot be edited by that role and their content actually vanishes from the Content Editor's view, only returning when he logs out again.

Admin and host accounts are fine.

Any ideas on this one?

Rob

This is similar to what I'm experiencing. I'm trying to set it so that a certain uses has permissions to edit one module only. I did what you did (as quoted above) but when I log in as that user, the little dropdown arrow for the module only shows "Help" and "Online Help". No option for "Edit Text".

No. I just tried this with a Repository module, and when I logged back in with the new user that has this role, the only options I get in the module drop-down menu are "About..." and "Help". No ability to edit.

More info: I WAS able to edit content in a User Defined Table module.
