Ok, so I've been developing this site for a local boys school (converting from static site to DNN-based CMS) and I've run into one helluva bug. The primary site editor uses a Mac and reported to me that she was not seeing the "Browse" button when she is trying to add pictures through the FreeTextBox editor.  I loaded the site on our test Mac here and sure enough, no "Browse" button!  I've done some searching and came up with this thread http://freetextbox.com/forums/thread/4644.aspx which verifies that this is a known bug but there has been no activity or response to that thread since late August.

I finally broke down and installed FCKEditor, and lo-and-behold it doesn't show the content in the Rich Text Editor, the "Source" HTML is there, it just isn't displaying the formatted text or pictures in the Rich Text Editor mode.

To say the least, I am quite frustrated and am needing some pointers to get this working for my client ASAP.

Many thanks!

SB

Second that -- this is a major problem, as my operation is only on Macs.

The only way to upload is through File Manager, which is not an efficient way of doing things.

You may want to give the Telerik r.a.d. editor a go.

It's not free, but it's the best editor I have found to date.
