I finally got the new dnn 4.x installed on my laptop to play with and i like the additions to the user manager part but have a need to be able to create custom fields and make them required for registering.

example: like the address field, i want to make a field for user to enter their area they are going to be using....like speciality

how can this be done? preferibly with a 3rd party module

if you are using DNN 4.3.x, the user profile manager already offers the ability to add custom fields. have a look into Charles Nurses Blog for details (AFAIK there is no user manual available yet).

AFAIK this is not configurable, but AFAIR there is an option to require the profile being filled out immediately after the registration.
