When using IE 6.0, I'm have broken links in my dropdown with red 'X's  where an image should be. In Firefox, the images appear ok. This seems to occur only in IE. If I right-click the image, I can select "Show Picture" and the image will appear, but since there are many images, that solution makes it impractical. These red x icons also appear after I click a link within the linked page as well.

I'm accessing the site through a localhost.

Help would be appreciated.

I would try to utilize "Conditional Comments" for IE.  For example, IE reads Conditional Comments and if the browser is not IE it will just ignore it.  For example you can create a ie.css that works for only 6.0 and use the following:

<!--[if IE 6.0]>

<link href="ie_styles.css" type="text/css" />

<![endif]-->

You place this in your skin and if an IE 6.0 browser loads your page then it will use the ie styles other browsers will simply ignore it.  I hope this gives you an idea but its really hard if I can visually see you page.

Good Luck!
