Hello,

I have a dotnetnuke  website/blog and I was thinking about trying to install googles analytics plugin to my site. is anyone using this? and if so, how did you set it up. I know the instructions say to past the code google gives you just before the /body tag in your page and since im using mostly modules etc, Im guessing theres no way to do that. figured maybe theres another way to set it up and Id ask you guys

I am using the free Google Analytics module from DNNStuff.com which works well.

You can add the code directly to your skin file(s) and it works perfectly. I am using it on several sites.

I've also added to the default.aspx file - and found it was easier than remembering to put into skin, however, that's for sites that have only one portal.

I wonder how it would work if you used the child portal instance, where the folder was created in the portal name and the default.aspx file resides in there. Has anyone tried that?   Not that I'm suggesting it, I just thought about it as I was writing.

In case you're curious, I was able to register on the Google Analytics site, download the free DNN module as mentioned, and add it in about 10 minutes.   Didn't have any issues.
