Hi all,

Maybe a stupid question, but where can I find more info concerning a backup and restore of my portal.
I'm running DNN 4.3.7 on a Windows2003 R2 Server with SQL2005.

What do I have to backup? IIS? SQL2005? DNN Install directory?
And how do I restore this on a new server?

Simply stated, how do I move this portal from one server to another? (offcourse with the same OS and database)

Thanks!

Wim

You can find many posts/solutions looking for "backup" on those forums (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/ctl/forumsearch/mid/2108/Default.aspx)

To put it simply....you need to backup your entire DNN folder, and your databse.

I am working on a few blog posts regarding backup and restore....check my site in a few days for a detailed explaination...
